The Association's Code of Ethics is a constantly evolving, enforceable standard of behaviour for all its member companies and individuals. It is the cornerstone of the direct selling industry's commitment to ethical business practices and customer service. This mechanism ensures that independent salespeople and customers are treated honestly and courteously. The Code has nationwide applicability as it applies in cities & towns where direct sellers currently do not exist.
In order for a direct selling individual or company to become a member of DSAP, it must adopt the standards set forth by the Code of Ethics to the extent the requirements are consistent with the law of the land. Every member company or individual pledges to abide by the Code's standards and procedures as a condition of admission and continued membership in DSAP.
The direct selling companies should designate an independent code administrator who is responsible to ensure the company's and all its affiliated sellers' compliance with the code of ethics set forth by the association; and has the power to decide on remedies. All members of the company agree to honor the administrator's decisions.
